Small Errands, Big Independence: Ms. L's Story
Independence looks different for everyone. For some, it means living on their own terms in a home they've chosen. For others, like Ms. L, it means something even simpler: being able to get a prescription filled, pick up groceries, or make it to a hair appointment without asking someone else to rearrange their whole day.
Ms. L lives in Independent Living, and by most measures, she's exactly where she wants to be. She has her own space, her own routine, and her independence -mostly. But there was one piece missing: she doesn't drive anymore, and the small errands that used to be second nature had become one of the biggest sources of stress in her week.

Independent Living communities are wonderful for exactly what the name promises - independence. But independence doesn't always come with a ride to the pharmacy or someone to grab the one specific brand of tea she likes from the store.
Ms. L doesn't have family nearby to call for a ride or a favor.
